Who's taking part in this case?

The lawsuit is a constitutional challenge: Cambie Surgeries CEO Brian Day's group (Cambie Surgeries Corporation et al) are the Plaintiffs and the BC Government (Medical Services Commission et al) are the Defendants.

The Federal Government joined on the side of public health care in 2016.

Serveral over groups are intervening in the case. Interveners are nonparty participants in a case who, being concerned about the impacts of a case's ruling, apply to take part in court proceedings. There are several intervener groups in this case.
